About EFact
EFact is a compliance layer for Moroccan electronic invoicing: your software keeps full control of billing, while EFact handles formatting, signing, and transmission.
What we do
EFact exposes a REST API that converts invoices into UBL 2.1 XML conforming to Moroccan schema rules, signs them with XAdES-EPES using Barid eSign certificates, submits them for clearance, and archives documents and tax proofs. Our goal is to ensure companies and software vendors never have to build regulatory compliance pipelines from scratch.
Technical details are open: the developer documentation and platform architecture describe how the system operates, including its current boundaries.
Status of the reform
Article 145-IX of the General Tax Code (CGI) mandates electronic invoicing and pre-clearance validation. However, the rollout schedule, revenue thresholds, and sanctions remain subject to the publication of the implementing decree in the Bulletin Officiel (Morocco's official gazette). We do not treat announced dates as final until published, and the roadmap section on the homepage displays its latest verification date.
The national DGI platform is not yet open to integrations: clearance currently runs on our simulator, which reproduces the official flow. The transition to the national platform will require no client-side changes.
Who builds EFact
EFact is developed by IT Zenata SARL (Itzenata), a company based in Mohammedia, Morocco.
